    This Central Kentucky Diamond is a Real Gem!

    Spring has sprung and it’s time for the diamonds to shine. The brightest diamond in Central Kentucky happens to belong to the Lexington Legends. Lexington’s Class A Minor League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. This weekend, the Legends played host to the West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The WV Power have become a natural rival for the Legends, as their fanbases are close enough that they often travel to each other’s stadiums to take in the action.     The Lexington Legends host their home opener on Thursday, April 13th. The West Virginia Power roll into town for a four-game series, before the Greenville Drive close out the seven-game homestand. If you enjoy the outdoors, baseball, hot dogs and maybe even a frosty beverage or two, it’s Kentucky Ale’s Thirsty Thursday. You can enjoy $1 beers and $1 Pepsi products all night long.
