Is ‘Some Things Won’t Last’ The Best Release Of 2020 So Far? Lawrence County Native Adam Chaffins Throws His Hat In The Ring

    February 20, 2020 /

I find myself repeating many talking points I've made for the talent that we're surrounded by here in Kentucky. That's truly a blessing, but a curse for a writer, albeit an unintentional redundant one. So anywho, I want to focus your attention on a Lawrence County native that now calls Nashville home. I think you're gonna enjoy this one, a LOT.

Luke Combs Brought His Hit Parade To Rupp Arena With Ashley McBryde And Drew Parker

    February 15, 2020 /

I’ve seen well over 1000 artists, probably closer to 2000 to be honest, but few have grown as quickly as Luke Combs. Combs has completely taken over country music with one of the most unique songwriting styles the genre has ever seen. Combs has a great ability to twist the meanings of his lyrics. He’s blessed with a voice that blends, bends and shapes to whatever he’s singing and in my humble opinion, Luke will be one of the biggest stars that country music has ever seen. Before we get into his set though, let’s discuss Drew Parker and Ashley McBryde’s sets from a chilly Valentine’s night. Drew Parker was…

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages Degeneration X umm wait, I mean the Appalachian Wireless Arena proudly presents to you Chris Janson, Ray Fulcher and CJ Solar! I apologize, been watching way to many late 90’s wrestling videos on YouTube (but you know you read that in your best wrestling ring announcer voice)! Okay, let me get back on track here. Keeping with the cool things that happen in Kentucky that I mentioned in my last review for Capture Kentucky, Chris Janson along with Ray Fulcher and CJ Solar stopped by the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville to play some country music for the fine folks…

Rye Davis Drops New Single “King Me”, As He Readies His New Album ‘Cut To Tape’

    February 12, 2020 /

Rye Davis is a name that some may remember as a really good pitcher for Western Kentucky University. Davis went on to play in the minor leagues as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. Unfortunately, as is the case with many others, that didn’t work out for Rye like he had hoped. Fortunately for us though, Rye decided to pursue a career in music. His first release, ‘A Story To Tell’, is a definite favorite from 2018. A release that often winds up in my personal playlists. For 2020, Rye has an EP that rolls out on March 27th titled ‘Cut To Tape’. We get our first taste of Rye’s…

There’s No Place Like Home. Tyler Booth Came Home To Celebrate His Recent Signing To Sony Music

    February 11, 2020 /

Capture Kentucky has been honored to be a small part of the Kentucky music family for nearly three years. We’ve witnessed so many great moments and seen several artists outgrow the confines of our Commonwealth. The Mountain Arts Center has become a rite of passage for artists as they climb the ranks, so on Saturday it was time for Tyler’s journey. That room has hosted several great Kentucky artists and on Saturday night in Prestonsburg, everyone in attendance became a part of history as Tyler Booth came home for a show at the Mountain Arts Center. What I just stated, may seem like an exaggeration, so ultimately we need to…
