Having said that, there’s got to be a good reason, right? Well there definitely is. These four young men have pumped out some of the beqst music around for the last 13 years. They know who they are, but they also know

Today is a HUGE day for Kentucky music. With several artists dropping new music, it can get difficult to keep up. Having said that, I plead with you to not overlook The Local Honeys new album ‘The Gospel’. All Kentucky music is important, but The Local Honeys are one of the most important Kentucky artists making music today. Not only do they help keep Appalachian music and Bluegrass music alive, they also honor it’s tradition. And you can not put a price on that my friends.’The Gospel’ is a collection of songs old and new.

Tyler Booth Launches His Nashville Career With Debut Single, “Long Comes A Girl”

I have had the good fortune of being involved with several artists over my lifetime. Many have “made it”, many more have not. None have matured faster or made greater strides than Wolfe County Kentucky’s Tyler Booth. I met Tyler when he was around 10 years old. I knew his Dad, Jason Booth, as we both worked with bands and venues promoting our friends and in J’s case, family.

There are a million reasons that Nashville is one of the fastest-growing cities in our Republic with more and more people seeking opportunities to chase their dreams than ever before. Artists, musicians, songwriters, videographers, photographers, dancers, you name it, have packed up and placed their bets on Nashville. Kentucky Artists Take The Show On The Road To Denver For Appalachia On The Rocks

Kentucky music is no longer a secret and people all across the country are taking notice. You may ask, “What makes you say that?” Glad you asked. Because we have been invited to be involved in tons of Festivals and shows in several different states in just the past year. First we made it out to Iowa for Hinterland. An event that featured three Kentuckians in Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, and Wheeler Walker, Jr. (Review here) We then invaded Nashville for three shows. We partnered up with Whiskey Soldier during the SEC Tournament for a Kentucky Takeover show with artists like Tyler Booth, Senora May, Jericho Woods, and Timmy Dunn.…

My Old Kentucky Home…In Denver. Tyler Childers Plays To A Sold-Out Crowd at Red Rocks

What if I told you that a young man by the name of Tyler Childers played to about thirty people at the Moonshiners Ball, just 2-1/2 years ago? Would you believe me? Well, ya should, because I was there. That show was my first time seeing Tyler perform. He was all by himself, kicked back, sitting in a chair, singing away at a, if I remember correctly, 2pm set. He had on torn-up jeans, muddy boots and was wearing a “Hawaiian Shirt.” I thought to myself, “Does this fella deserve the hype that my friends have heaped upon him?” Now I had listened to his first album, as well as…

When you wake up on the last day, you’re met with many waves of emotions. Excitement, knowing what’s headed your way. Joy, as you recount all the wonderful memories you’ve already made. You Have Got To Be Kidding Me. Day Two At Kickin’ It On The Creek

Welcome back!! After a peaceful night of much-needed rest, I started my day off with Luna and The Mountain Jets. David and Teresa Prince are two of my favorite folks on this planet. A day with those two in it is always a wonderful day. I have never, nor will I ever, hear anyone say a bad word about them. Their set was the morning fuel that I needed to get going. Great music, warm smiles and seeing so many friends up and at it to see these folks was perfect. My favorite performances were “Pepsi Girl”, “That Thing You Said”, “Firefly”, and of course, “KIOTC.” Next up was Kyle…
