How does one define John 5? Is he rock? Is he country? Is he heavy metal? What about emo, industrial or bluegrass? Truth is there is not one set genre to fit John 5 within. In a world where music must be defined, John 5 breaks every mold by continually changing and adapting his style. John 5 is truly a student of his craft and has become known as a master of said craft by many colleagues around the world.
John 5 performed right here in Lexington at Manchester Music Hall. John 5 is known by most fans for his guitar work with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, but he has worked with lots of different artists over the years. Folks like David Lee Roth, Rob Halford, K.D. Lang and even Meatloaf. If you enjoy talent and different sytles, this show is a can’t miss show. As an added bonus, we got to see the Hellzapoppin Sideshow Circus, which we covered earlier this year at the Inkcarceration Festival in Ohio. (more…)
There are very few guitarists that are as versatile as John 5. He’s known for his gothic styling and stints playing with both Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, but there is much more to this guitar virtuoso. He has even written a song with Kentucky’s own, Black Stone Cherry. That track is titled “Killing Floor” and can be found on their ‘Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea’ release. We were certainly grateful that he chose to make a stop in Lexington at the Manchester Music Hall. We hope you enjoy the photos!
