The Appalshop Theater might be the best 200 seat or less theater in the region, maybe even the state. Literally, not a bad seat in the house, freshly renovated with new seats and carpet, Appalshop is a great place to watch a show! Watching a show is exactly what’s going on tonight but let me add a mid-February night that found me sitting outside before the show wearing a short sleeve tee shirt. That’s crazy for this time of year, but this is Kentucky, wait 15 minutes and the weather will change! The Ultimate KISS Tribute Band, Kentucky’s Own Dressed To Kill at The MAC in Prestonsburg.
I found myself on a surprisingly warm winter evening at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, KY. Saturday’s show was the first of what will be a great year of shows at the MAC and I’m looking forward to attending as many as I can and so should you! There is no better venue in Eastern Kentucky to catch a show. The lights, the sound, the staff, the location…it’s all perfect! Of the last four shows I’ve covered here at the MAC, three have been of the country variety.
