Rye Davis Drops New Single “King Me”, As He Readies His New Album ‘Cut To Tape’
Rye Davis is a name that some may remember as a really good pitcher for Western Kentucky University. Davis went on to play in the minor leagues as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. Unfortunately, as is the case with many others, that didn’t work out for Rye like he had hoped. Fortunately for us though, Rye decided to pursue a career in music. His first release, ‘A Story To Tell’, is a definite favorite from 2018. A release that often winds up in my personal playlists. For 2020, Rye has an EP that rolls out on March 27th titled ‘Cut To Tape’. We get our first taste of Rye’s…

There’s No Place Like Home. Tyler Booth Came Home To Celebrate His Recent Signing To Sony Music
Capture Kentucky has been honored to be a small part of the Kentucky music family for nearly three years. We’ve witnessed so many great moments and seen several artists outgrow the confines of our Commonwealth. The Mountain Arts Center has become a rite of passage for artists as they climb the ranks, so on Saturday it was time for Tyler’s journey. That room has hosted several great Kentucky artists and on Saturday night in Prestonsburg, everyone in attendance became a part of history as Tyler Booth came home for a show at the Mountain Arts Center. What I just stated, may seem like an exaggeration, so ultimately we need to…

Tyler Booth Launches His Nashville Career With Debut Single, “Long Comes A Girl”
I have had the good fortune of being involved with several artists over my lifetime. Many have “made it”, many more have not. None have matured faster or made greater strides than Wolfe County Kentucky’s Tyler Booth. I met Tyler when he was around 10 years old. I knew his Dad, Jason Booth, as we both worked with bands and venues promoting our friends and in J’s case, family.

**Photo Credit: Alysse Gafkjen Nashville, Tennessee is the undisputed center of the Country Music universe. There are a million reasons that Nashville is one of the fastest-growing cities in our Republic with more and more people seeking opportunities to chase their dreams than ever before. Artists, musicians, songwriters, videographers, photographers, dancers, you name it, have packed up and placed their bets on Nashville. Friday’s Forgotten Gems: Dwight Yoakam
Music is a way of life here at Capture Kentucky. We love, live it and do our best to share it. While doing that, we’re often reminded of great songs, albums and artists that may or may not have had the success that we felt they deserved. It’s a series we’re calling “Friday’s Forgotten Gems!” This edition we revisit Kentucky legend Dwight Yoakam’s catalogue. Dwight has been on my mind the last few days since Campton, Kentucky’s Tyler Booth announced that he will be playing a few shows as an opener for Dwight.

Sold-Out!! Tyler Booth Comes Home To Campton!
Tyler Booth. Where do I begin? I’ve known Tyler’s Dad for years. We worked together back in the ole Stitch Rivet days. So I helped out any way possible when Jay reached out to me. This was in the early days of Capture Kentucky. I helped behind the scenes, in other words, the boring stuff that isn’t important. Lol I heard a few songs Tyler had written and as I do with anyone that is talented, I needed to see if he could pull it off live. Let me just say, that if you saw that November or December of the 2017 model of Tyler Booth, you would not believe…
