The First Levitt AMP Music Series In Whitesburg with Dave Adkins and Larry Cordle
The Levitt AMP Whitesburg Music Series kicked off on May 31st with Dave Adkins and Larry Cordle. A little history about the Levitt AMP Music Series can be found here https://grant.levittamp.org/ The Levitt AMP Music Series is a 10-week concert series with different genres of music performed each week, all concerts are free to the public. SOLD OUT!! Clutch Brings Pure Rock Fury To The Manchester Music Hall With The Bronx, Red Fang & Fireball Ministry
I want to start this review with a huge thank you to my fellow Kentuckians. Lexington in particular, has never really been known as a “metal community.” In all honesty, it still isn’t, but Saturday night at the Manchester Music Hall, you folks delivered like I’ve never experienced you in roughly 18 years of going to concerts. First, you sold-out Manchester Music Hall. Second, I saw ZERO fights despite massive amounts of liquid courage being consumed. As a whole, the night was a wet, sweaty, loud celebration of four great bands doing their best to deliver a show like no other. Did y’all succeed in making a fun and loving…

Black Stone Cherry Becomes The Band We All Dreamed Of With Family Tree
There are few bands that can even come close to deserving recognition as a true Southern rock band. The grit, the grime, the hard workin’ blue-collar work ethic that crafts such powerful anthems is often imitated, but rarely replicated. You need to live a Southern life to truly understand it and represent it to the masses. When Black Stone Cherry released their self-titled debut back in 2006, we all envisioned these guys as a new modern heavier version of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

In Honor Of The Country Music Highway, 23 Kentucky Artists You Need To Know!!
When I sat down to write this article, it was originally going to be just ten artists. I had so much trouble trying to whittle down my list, that I ultimately decided to write until I felt the list was full. Turns out that the magic number wound up being twenty-three, so I figure why not dedicate this article to the Country Music Highway or as the Government calls it, U.S. 23! This list includes every genre out there, so there truly is something for everyone here. If you know me at all, talent is talent, so enjoy this musical smorgasbord. I hope you find an artist that compels you…

Dancing The Night Away With Magnolia Boulevard At The Burl
If you’ve seen this site before, you’ll know the concept. I find Kentucky bands and artists that I feel need a little spotlight and I do my best to convey the reasons you should care. My motto is pretty simple, support the artists or lose the art. That should be a pretty compelling argument, but I’m sure you’ll want more, so let’s get started. One of the bands that have been on my radar for some time, is Lexington’s Magnolia Boulevard. I’ve watched several performances on the ole Tube of You, but I just hadn’t had the opportunity to catch them live. Thankfully though, that all changed on Saturday night…

American Flat Track Motorcycle Racing Blazes A New Trail At Red Mile In Lexington, KY
The newly renovated Red Mile in Lexington, KY was host to the American Flat Track Motorcycle Racing Series. It had been 23 years since an event of this magnitude had been held in the Bluegrass and neither the fans, nor the event left disappointed. With the gates opening at 2pm, the fans found their way through many vendors and tons of motorcycles lined up along the back lot at the Red Mile. Everyone from Indian Motorcycles, to Harley-Davidson, to food trucks and live bands. There was something there for most everyone.

The 8th Annual Memorial Ride To Benefit The Thompson-Hood Veteran Center In Wilmore, KY
Recently, I was invited to participate in the 8th Annual Memorial Motorcycle Ride, which was hosted by Second Brigade MC Chapter H, KY. It’s something that I had never been involved with and a great friend, Heather Jent and her Husband Roy, asked me if I’d like to ride along and capture the essence of what the ride was all about. I’m going to be honest, I didn’t know what or how I was going to capture something that I had never experienced, but when a friend invites you, you do it. No questions asked. So, we set off to Don Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant in Lawrenceburg to begin the day.
