Best known as the singer/songwriter/guitarist of Cinderella, TOM KEIFER once sang, “You’re only going once around the ride.” He’s proving that theory wrong with the highly anticipated release of THE WAY LIFE GOES – DELUXE EDITION, an expanded compilation of his critically acclaimed solo debut album, THE WAY LIFE GOES, chock full of bonus content and special artwork.
KEIFER and his bandmates (#keiferband: Tony Higbee/guitars and vocals, Billy Mercer/bass and vocals, Savannah Keifer/vocals, percussion and piano, Kendra Chantelle/vocals and percussion, now along with new band members Jarred Pope/drums, Kory Myers/keyboards and vocals) have been touring in support of THE WAY LIFE GOES ever since its release and they’re still not showing any signs of stopping.
The trek lands in Lexington, KY on Friday, October 6 at the Manchester Music Hall. You can pick up tickets here.
As an added bonus, Kentucky’s Kiss Kiss Bang has been added as an opener. Get there early and catch their set.
We will be there and we hope to see you there!

Kentucky is synonymous with two things. Bourbon and horses. That’s why the Bourbon and Beyond Festival makes so much sense to be held in Louisville. The city is a stop on the Bourbon Trail and it hosts the biggest and best horse race in the world, the Kentucky Derby.
Derby City has drawn a lot of interest of late for their thriving music scene. So it wasn’t really a surprise when Danny Wimmer created a second festival here. Mr. Wimmer is also the man behind Louder Than Life. What was a surprise, for me at least, was how well both festivals have sold being just one week apart.
Be sure and check out our coverage of the 2017 edition of Louder Than Life here.
With Bourbon and Beyond, Mr. Wimmer has created an experience like no other. Sure the music is a large part of it, but it’s everything else that brings value to your ticket. Now that may seem illogical to say, given how expensive the tickets actually cost, but hear me out.
In the wake of a tragedy like the one The Jones family faced a mere nine months ago, most would have shut down, tried not to think about it or drowned in an endless sea of questions, what ifs and the like.
The Jones took a different approach to their son’s death, they decided they had to take their experience and educate others about the terrible disease that depression is and all its repercussions. Pete had struggled with depression since he was a teenager. He was a gifted student and loved by many, his death was a shock. He had struggled with a sadness he didn’t understand.
What is Cirque De Virgo? Well, they’re description pretty much sums it up quite succinctly. “A 3-day event filled with artists and performers of every walk – from sideshow to flow art, from magician to musician! A festival inspired by circus life!” Cirque De Virgo is a circus-inspired event with a large variety of music and focuses on performance arts of sideshow, burlesque, magicians, dancers, aerialists, clowns and of course all the flow arts and fire acts! It’s an outdoor event with a large covered stage and pavilion as well as showers, hiking, and camping in the gorgeous knobs of Berea KY!
Berea, KY was transformed into something magical for three days and our very own Estill Robinson was there to capture the Friday night magic of this 18+ event. (more…)
Eastern Kentucky native and current country superstar Chris Stapleton brought his tour to Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati recently. The show was scheduled for earlier this year, but had to be rescheduled due to an injury that Mr. Stapleton had that required surgery.
The original bill included rising star Brent Cobb, Anderson East and of course, Chris Stapleton. Scheduling conflicts forced Brent Cobb off the rescheduled date, which allowed Lucie Silvas to open the show. (more…)
